So I was searching through some Juice=Juice forums and I found this:

In terms of how they react to their illnesses and how they prevent them from performing fully as idols (since that's a better question), they're similar in some regards. KanaTomo's main issue is that one of the best treatments for endometriosis is not readily available in Japan (hormonal birth control pills) and she has to find a different treatment that allows her to be more comfortable without hurting her stage career. Yuzu's problem is that her treatment may not entirely cure her dizziness and vertigo, at least not quickly and not while she's doing things like Dakishimete Anthem's choreography. In theory, at least, both of them should someday be able to reach a point where their respective conditions and treatments no longer pose any problems to them performing, but until then, they're both going to be less active.

And, of course, they reacted differently to their problems. Tomo wants to be able to perform for everyone, even if it's only a fraction of what everyone else is doing, and Yuzu doesn't want to perform unless she's 100% ready to perform the way she was before. Neither way is better than the other, just two different answers to the same question.
