i'd just like to respond to what asan said:

Beta comes from better but has a specific meaning: something that's boring/cliché because everybody has always done it, but still good, and that's why everybody does it...

the song, Beta is the Best, just on initial listen, it could be easily mistaken for a throwaway AKB/SKE song... now i'm not saying its 'bad', it's just musically, the arrangement, mannerisms, down right to the guitar tone in the solo..

it's like almost intentionally trying to mirror that sound... you could say all idol/jpop music is samey, true, but this is just... i find it funny. Now I rarely catch the UFI show, and I dunno in what context this song was used on, so i may be way off haha.

I guess what i'm mostly saying is that momoclo, just like other idol groups, have a unique style musically, and this song is almost like a parody of another style. haha /rant
