Nice to see they've finally decided to do something overseas. Having KISS members there will give them more exposure for sure. I'm curious to see which reaction they'll get. They have Sailor Moon and Dragon ball on their side, so they should be alright on an anime expo.

Management is taking their time to announce the place for this year's Natsu no Bakasawagi. I still wonder if that's because it's going to be mega-special or what.

It's a fantastic opportunity of them. There's been massive press in the States about DBZ. The girls supposedly are learning some English and then there's the KISS collab so you could sense it was coming. I just knew they'd go the Anime expo or convention route to enter the Western market. It's the only way and I'm sure hardcore anime fans like the ones who are inevitably at this expo are familiar with their music anyway. On top of that, this is a massive year for foreign acts to break into the US market anyway. Many organizations, artists, producers and established managers like Scooter Braun (Justin Bieber's manager) are working to break popular acts in the US anyway so the general interest in these act should help the girls as well.

have you been to a concert lately? if there are 5000 people in attendance, you'll see 4000 different videos of the show on youtube the next day

hopefully someone will have the good sense to do it properly (AX might even technically have the rights to video recordings of it), I want to see them butcher some english in the MC

I'm glad that they do get a chance to appear overseas and I'm happy for everyone who can see them - and I expect a lot of reports! Lol
But as always with idols outside of Japan (Babymetal maybe being the only exception) I think this is done more to promote themselves at home than an actual attempt to become successful somewhere else. And I hope they won't attempt it quite frankly. They would REALLY have to learn English to stand a chance, and it would take away time and energy for their performances at home. At this point in their career it would be a no-win situation in my opinion

What brilliant news for the American fans on the West Coast! Let's hope this event is one of many to come. It's probably a dream for many of us to see our favourite weekend heroines perform live. I have hope that this may still come true for all of us!
