Since we're doing trivia about Momoclo's references to stuff Kawakami grew up watching, I'm curious if anyone knows about my favorite: Kuroi Shuumatsu contains three separate nods to something very famous from the 70s. I'll tell you tomorrow if no one knows, but I'm curious if anyone else caught them. (note: I noticed three...there might be more that I'm missing...the whole song is basically an homage to this thing)

My own bit of trivia: the lyrics of Sora Tobu! Ozashiki Ressha are a big nod to Galaxy Express 999, which in turn was inspired by Night on the Galactic Railroad. If you dont know the relation of the latter to MCZ you havent been paying attention of lately

Yes, the cough at the beginning is from a Sabbath song, "All aboard! Hahaha" is from Crazy Train, and then there is the title of the song: Dark Week-end vs. Black Sabbath.

Yeah. Also, right after a~rin's all aboard, the song turns into Sabbath's Fairies wear boots (thought the guitar riff is closer to Children of the grave)

Here's another one: This years x-mas concert is to be called "Mafuyu no Sun Sun Summer Time" for a line in Coco☆Natsu

The fact that they use a "Summer song" to name a winter event is likely a joke among the girls and staff to the fact that their most known "winter" song, Santa -san, has basically the same melody as Coco☆Natsu in the chorus .

Both are Hyadain songs though and is not the first time he does that - Deko Mayu no Saishuu and Jimusho ni osaretai have the same melody too.

Yeah, also Osaretai references Coco☆Natsu. During the recoding of the latter Momokachan just couldnt pronounce the "Sa shi su se" part, and apparently it was so embarassing to her, so to"prove" staff she wont lose, she says it 3 times in a row in Osaretai

Id love to find if it was Hyadain idea or if it was an ad-lib.
