From the message video shown at the venue, it was revealed that the artist singing the game’s theme song will be Hamasaki Ayumi. The reason why Hamasaki-san was picked was because “Hamasaki-san’s songs always have a strong theme, and will be able to reach young people”, explained the producer from Baba. After looking through the extensive database of details from the game, we had a conference call with Hamasaki-san at about 5~6am, where she revealed that the theme song had been completed.
Having understood the game’s details, Hamasaki-san said that “I made a song that can send my message”. A song that combines the intentions of the 『Tales of』 staff and Hamasaki-san herself, we hope to hear it soon.

● For character design, a double casting of Mr Inomata Mutsumi and Mr Fujishima Kousuke!
The title for the 15th 『Tales of』 series was revealed here to be 『Tales of Xillia』. This was revealed by Bandai Namco Games, at an anniversary party held 15 years after the date of release of the first game in the series. They have also revealed that they will be in charge of this game as well.
『Tales of Xillia』’s character design will be undertaken by a double cast of Mr Inomata Mutsumi and Mr Fujishima Kousuke. There will be 2 main characters, as in the first game. Players get to choose one character and experience that character’s story. The animation movies will be done by ufotable, who handled 『Tales of Symphonia THE ANIMATION』 OVA and 『Kara no Kyoukai MOVIE VERSION』.
● Hamasaki Ayumi takes on theme song
The theme song will be taken on by popular artist Hamasaki Ayumi, who is active not only in Japan, but internationally as well. A new song will be created just for 『Tales of Xillia』. Her grasp on perspective and lyrics and her unforgettable voice creates a magnificent world for the 『Tales of』 series.
Hamasaki Ayumi
