聖者の行進 (Seija no koushin) – Saints’ March
——
Avoiding the tall buildings, our march continues on and on
In order not to mess up our formation, we force every wayward step back in line
Even though our hearts scream that this is wrong
Cold rains and massive walls are beckoning to me again
No need for bitter thoughts to intrude upon my weakness
If only I had the courage to destroy everything before me
To sing and dream only of what I feel is right
Until the day I stop breathing
Continuing to trace the strokes which we’re told were correct
Easily controlled by the proximity of past success
But there’s no need to aim to be a person they want me to be
Cold rains and massive walls are beckoning to me again
But everyone is coming, they lead us on with such skilful words
If only I had the courage to destroy everything before me
There were people and things which I wanted to stay with
But that’s right, I’ve left them behind
As if forgetting about everything we’ve lost
We press on without rest
Because we wish to protect a tomorrow that’s better than today
Led on by this wish, the march continues on
Cold rains and massive walls are beckoning to me again
No need for bitter thoughts to intrude upon my weakness
If only I had the courage to destroy everything before me
To sing and dream only of what I feel is right
Until the day I stop breathing
